Baby Case

after I made the first sample, I ran this BABY CASE by the Richardson family
Willy, Kim and Audrey - it was obvious they had to be the models for the photo
shoot - Audrey loved the bag! Willy is an oil painter - that's his painting behind
them - see his work at:

  1. Oh, the stories that my black-on-black toolbag could tell! Meanwhile, MiuMiu, Henri Cuir, and Isabella Fiore commiserate from the neglected depths of my closet. The canvas strap never stretches, binds, or tangles: the side pockets are made of buttery leather that is tough as nails, and finished off with a topstitch that isn't fussy but has attitude. The white canvas interior and the broad but shallow design allows me to carry lots (3 prs Versace glasses, Comme de Garcons wallet, iphone+accoutrements, Motorola walkie-talkie, cash stash, mileage log, assortment of pencils, pens, and sharpies, scale ruler/and or tape measure, paperback and/or mini spiral) and have it all at my finger tips without having to rummage! (Diane VonF so aptly pointed out that when it comes to purses, rummaging is NOT sexy, and the person who told me that anecdote also owns a toolbag.) The first day with my toolbag felt like a new start, similar to the excitement of moving into a house that you plan to be in for a long time, and starting the process of figuring out where you'll be putting all of your most essential things. I wear it out at night, or with my dustiest boots: the bag doesn't care, she's got confidence. And p.s., the strap/key clip has helped me keep track of my keys...not a small feat...
    I love it, thank you!
